The exterior stucco of the facility is in critical need of repair and repainting due to issues stemming from a faulty original installation, general wear and tear around loading doors, damage from landscaping equipment, and nesting birds. The scope of work will also include repainting the recreation area enclosures and exterior trim to restore the building's appearance and protect it from further deterioration.

This project involves the redevelopment of this property that previously contained the Piggly Wiggly grocery store that was destroyed and subsequently demolished resulting from a major building fire. This project consists of the removal of the Piggly Wiggly building slab foundation & asphalt parking lots at the rear of the site and to construct a one-story 9,100 SF Dollar General retail store to include the installation of concrete walkways, parking & service drives, stormwater facility, landscaping, lighting and dumpster enclosure at the front portion of the site. This project involves the redesign of the main front parking lot at the Port Royal Community Center. Driven by a significant increase in activity spurred by the success of the senior program & the recent addition of an inclusive playground. Parking lot serves a diverse group including staff, seniors & visitors. The redesign aims to improve accessibility, capacity & overall functionality to better accommodate the growing community needs.

Originally acquired by the County in 1997, Camp St. Mary’s was repurchased in 2023 through the Rural and Critical Lands Program for the purpose of dedicating and developing the site as a County passive park. Located at 121 Camp St. Mary’s Road in Okatie, the property will provide a natural, scenic space for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors of Beaufort County.

The Beaufort County pools at MC Riley Elementary School, Battery Creek High School, and Beaufort High School require significant mechanical repairs and renovations to ensure safe and efficient operation. Key improvements include electrical system upgrades, HVAC replacements, filter pump system repairs or replacements, and necessary plumbing repairs.

Growth in Southern Beaufort County and Jasper County requires increased capacity from 15 MGD to 30 MGD with consideration for ultimate capacity of 45 MGD as total system demand reaches +/- 26.5 MGD. Project identified in 2017 Master Plan. Expand Purrysburg WTP to 30 MGD including plate settler/filter media pilot study; addition of 2 12-MGD pumps in river pumping station; addition of 2 12-MGD pumps with VFD's in reservoir pumping station; addition of new flow control/rapid mixing structure; addition of new flocculation/plate settler basins; addition of new filters at same number and size as existing; add 2 12-MGD pumps in transfer pumping station; add second clearwell for capacity/redundancy; replacement of 2 existing 5.5 MGD pumps; and construction of residuals handling based on outcome of study. Conducted BJWSA final walk thru with Reeves Young, GMC, Plant Operations & Tech Maintenance. Created an updated list of punch list items for Reeves Young.

A request by Court Atkins Group, LLC, on behalf of property owner Trevor Wells for review of a Certificate of Appropriateness-HCOD application. The project consists of the construction of a two-story 8,000 SF mixed use building with associated infrastructure. The property is zoned Neighborhood Core and consists of 1.4 acres identified by tax map number 6610 039 000 097A 0000. STATUS: This item was heard at the April 1, 2026 Development Review Committee Meeting. Awaiting resubmittal.

The scope of work includes the replacement of flooring, ceiling tiles, and interior paint, as well as upgrades to the kitchen and restroom areas to enhance functionality, safety, and overall user experience.

Phase Two of the project includes the demolition of the former A. Horne building, followed by the design and construction of a new parking lot.
